Aside from being a keen classical player, he has a strong interest in Jazz and improvised music, and whilst being an accomplished Jazz bassist, pianist and singer he also explores improvisation on the Cello. Michael is also a composer and most recently had a work of his premiered at the Lancaster Jazz Festival and has an upcoming premiere at the Edinburgh Fringe festival, he hopes to make as varied and all encompassing a career from music as possible.

Sam Becker

Having played the cello for a number of years, Sam decided to take up the double bass five years ago.

Sam has always loved the sound of the bass and was lucky enough to have been lent one at the time which fueled his enthusiasm and love for the instrument even more.

Five years on Sam is now in his first year studying at the Royal Academy of Music.

Sam also studies jazz bass as a second study and enjoys playing a wide range of styles exploring the instrument to its full potential. Sam hopes to one day travel the world to share and play music with different communities across the globe.
