Sophisticated Dinner Jazz from Jaz2
We look forward to welcoming Jaz2 to the Festival - playing jazz standards, bossa novas, the blues and favourite
pop classics.
JAZ2 features Ralph Sutton on piano and vocals by Cathy
Williams. They work with their own unique, professional backing tracks,
arranged and produced by them in top studios, with acoustic double-bass,
drums and guitar. Their vocals and piano are gently underpinned to create
the warm, full, vibrant sound of a complete, live jazz quartet.
JAZ2 brings you the timeless magic of a classy singer and a fine jazz pianist.
They have played at many prestigious venues, including the Royal Academy of Arts, Piccadilly,The National Portrait Gallery, The Royal Horticultural Halls, The Hilton Hotel, The BT Tower, The Savile Club, The Roof Gardens, Kensington, The Lansdowne Club, Burma Children's Charity Ball - to name but a few - not forgetting of course performing at the Queen's Jubilee last year one of the boats in the flotilla following the Royal
Barge down the Thames, which they tell us was a 'wonderful event'.

Cathy Williams - Vocalist.
Cathy has been influenced particularly by Ella Fitzgerald
and Sarah Vaughan, but with her great natural ability, covers a very
broad range of jazz standards, blues, bossa novas and contemporary
music.
She sings with real feeling, flair and individuality and has a way of making songs her own. She has terrific stage presence, and her warm, engaging
personality connects well with audiences.
Cathy has also made live TV
performances.
Ralph Sutton - Pianist, arranger and JAZ2 Business Manager.
Ralph plays a very melodic style of jazz piano, with influences from Oscar Peterson, George Shearing, and Junior Mance.
He has completed long-term residencies at the Royal Academy of
Arts and the Hilton Hotel, London, and many other engagements elsewhere.
Ralph has also played on the QE2.

I have heard their music, it is absolutely fantastic. Cathy does an excellent job in how she relates to her audience when she sings.
