Dart Music Festival - performance updates 3

The Gumbo Flyers

Formed way back when, the Gumbo Flyers were one of the first bands in Europe to embrace the infectious Cajun and Zydeco music of Louisiana.

This experienced group of musicians have toured worldwide - the Band’s high energy songs and stomps from the swamps have thrilled audiences at festivals and music venues across the continent, and their music has been embraced by radio stations back in Louisiana itself.

With their raw talent, relaxed professionalism and playful interaction, a performance of the Gumbo Flyers is a treat for tapping feet.

Holy Ebony & Band

The Holly Ebony band consists of Holly on vocals and guitar, Nick Marshall on lead and slide guitar, Conrad Singh on Double Bass and Jake Renbourn on percussion.

Holly tells us:

"I'm a singer and songwriter pouring out song from my beautiful corner of the world on the edge of Dartmoor.

Inspired by folk, soul and blues, my music tells stories from the wilderness around me and the depths of my spirit."

Hot Diggety

Barn-rattlin', farmyard-shakin' Hot Diggety have been wowing audiences in the South West with their own brand of Hillbilly Bop since the summer of 2010.
The 8-piece band from Modbury, Devon, combine 4-part vocal harmonies with cattle-stampeding rhythms in a set that mixes classic western tub-thumpers with their own, unique take on classic songs by the likes of Abba, Beyonce and Lady Gaga.

At festivals, music venues and private functions, Hot Diggety's infectious beats and great humour have had their audiences baying for more!

Jenna Witts

North Devon singer-songwriter Jenna is a free spirit with an effortless natural talent, who has been writing songs from the age of 12. An accomplished keyboards player and acoustic guitarist, she comes alive on stage with her infectious laugh and West Country humour – then startles people into silence with her amazingly mature voice, sass, attitude and elegance, to deliver wonderfully melodic songs; inspired by the sea, surf, love and life of the coast and beyond.

At 24, Jenna has toured with Steve Knightley (Show of Hands) as well as performing at ‘Show Of Hands’ sell out concert at The Royal Albert Hall. Jenna has also toured with Mercury prize nominee Seth Lakeman and supported Port Iaasac’s Fisherman’s Friends at their ‘The Minack Theatre’ open air concerts. She’s also played alongside other musicians including Newton Faulkner, The Noisettes, Nerina Pallot, Martin Simpson, Boo Hewerdine, Martyn Joseph, and Amy Wadge, and has most recently supported Elkie Brooks to a ‘sold out’ Queen’s Theatre in aid of Children’s Hospice South West.
