The Lost Sound Chorus |
The Lost Sound Chorus has had a remarkable year since
performing at the Festival last May. They have been showered with appreciation
for their singing and the vitality of their performances and are happily wooing
South West audiences. They have been singing at Charity events and benefits to
raise money for worthy causes throughout the last year and have also taken on
and trained new singers. It’s been a busy and exciting year!
They have been applauded for their interesting and powerful
programme, proving they are not shy of tackling the depth and emotion of a
song. They love the vitality of their arrangements, full of textures, rhythms
and layered harmonies with often 6 or 7 parts going at one time. The programme has a beautiful folk influence
underpinning both the singing and their delivery. Traditional heartfelt folk is
re kindled with contemporary arrangements and woven between are new songs, with
fresh perspectives, with an added splash of a pop hit or an Indie beat.
Quotes from
audiences:
Christian
Aid Benefit Dec 2012: “I'm
not easily impressed but I was just blown away. I was sitting quite far
back and I was surprised (perhaps shouldn't have been) at the power and
projection.”
Wild Futures Benefit March 2013: I attended the concert last week and wanted
to say how much I enjoyed it – in fact found it very moving; I have never seen
a choir enjoy themselves so much in performance – it reminded me what it feels
like to be ‘in love with music.”
The Lost Sound Chorus are delighted to be invited back to
sing for you at The Flavel during the Dart Music Festival
In the words of a Facebook fan: “If you haven't seen them get along and be prepared for fun, enthusiasm and high standards”
