By George - what a Spicy Sunday

Our thanks to Ruth Coe for hosting a delicious curry lunch at The George Inn, Blackawton last Sunday.   Guest Chef Phil Braakenburg spent days lovingly preparing a host of hot and spicy (and in some cases 'blow your head off'!) pickles, chutneys and side dishes to accompany his lovely lamb kebabs, awesome aubergine curry and luscious lamb curry.

Phil was ably and amicably aided and abetted by 'Sous-Chef' Shahar from The Spice Bazaar, Kitchen Porter Rob Lyon and Chief Naan-Baker Pam Braakenburg to provide a brilliant meal in a great location. The sun shone on the George's fab new terrace, the view was amazing, the plates were licked clean, and a good time was had by all.

Our thanks to Phil who kindly donated the proceeds and to Ruth who matched his donation to give £260 to the Dart Music Festival - it is very much appreciated.

Thanks also to Shahar, Rob, Pam and the staff at the George Inn for making it such a relaxing and fun day.
