Lily & Meg are a multi-instrumental acoustic roots duo blending banjo, guitar, keys, harmonica and vocals.
Lily originally from Birmingham and Meg from London, they met in the South West town of Falmouth in April 2012 and sparked a natural musical partnership after discovering a mutual love for intricate harmonies, thoughtful lyrics and timeless song-writing.
2013 was a fantastic year for Lily & Meg. They performed at high profile venues such as The Bedford in London, The Exeter Phoenix Centre and London’s famous folk club, The Green Note. They played a summer of festivals, including, The Eden Sessions, Relentless Boardmasters and were invited to perform at Sweden’s Dragonfly Festival in Gothenburg.
They supported the Brit Award Winning and celebrated producer, Ethan Johns, on the opening show of his debut album tour. After releasing their debut EP, ‘Songs For Jasper’ they completed their first national tour in the autumn of 2013, supporting singer-songwriter Ruarri Joseph.
2014 has kicked off to a great start for the girls – they were recently asked to open for Seth Lakeman’s sold out show at Truro Cathedral by the man himself, and they look forward to the launch of their second EP titled ‘In The Water’ at London’s St Pancras Old Church in April.
