Welcome back Jo Harman to Dart Music Festival




JO HARMAN - who wowed us all at last year's Festival - is back!

Widely regarded as Europe's foremost soul/blues fuelled artist, Jo Harman has, by sheer force of talent, secured 3 major label record deals internationally, is a global ambassador for Amnesty International and her myriad of accolades include 'Female Vocalist of the Year' at this years British Blues Awards.
 
Recently voted Female Vocalist of the Year at the British Blues Awards, one of four categories in which she was nominated, Jo Harman is on the fast track to super world renown  An original British singer-songwriter whose work is broadly influenced by blues, gospel, soul, country, rock and other roots sensibilities, her career is already regarded by by many in the industry as secure as a long term soul and blues sensation.


The Daily Mirror described Jo as 'the finest female soul blues singer in the UK', the Daily Express called her 'Brilliant' and The Mail On Sunday 'Stunning'.





  

Emerging initially as a word of mouth independent, Jo remarkably secured over 50 UK and European festival gigs in 2014, including prestigious slots at Cheltenham and Edinburgh Jazz Festivals amongst others.







Late last year she played alongside the likes of Robert Plant and Van Morrison as part of BluesFest at The Royal Albert Hall where her performance was broadcast on BBC Radio's 2 and released as 'Jo Harman Live At The Royal Albert Hall, recorded by the BBC'. She has been re-invited to appear at the Festival for the 3rd year running, headlining her own show in the O2 complex (see Live Nation ad attached in the Evening Standard).


Jo's 2013 debut, Dirt On My Tongue, received remarkable critical acclaim and no little commercial success making various of 'best of' lists and awards, including Proper Distribution's International Blues Record Of The Year.


She signed with V2 (stable mates include Adele, Mumford and Sons and Queens of the Stone Age) in Europe where her debut album made the Netherlands album charts and with major promoters Live Nation.



With a host of major festivals already booked for Jo and her four piece band, 2015 promises to cement Jo's reputation as one of the finest singers to ever come out of the UK.
