Hot Candy are a funky pop rock band with sassy female vocals covering
songs by artists such as Bruno Mars, Adele, Lady Ga Ga, Anastasia,
Rhianna,Kelly Clarkson Michael Jackson and many more...
The five-piece band consists of Kerry Harper on Vocals,
Richard Johns on Guitar/Vocals,
James Fowler on Keyboards,
Mike Lickfold on Bass/Vocals
and Gary Pollock on Drums.
The band has been
together for about five years and has enjoyed a busy time playing at
various functions in and around South Devon and Cornwall. The eclectic
mix of genres on offer in their set list appeals to young and old and they
try to focus mainly on tunes that people can dance to.

"I was in Plymouth for the night and managed to see Hot Candy at the
Varsity. They were brilliant, I expected they'd be good from the 10-15
minute sound check.
Their first set had more modern classics like U & Ur Hand by Pink
and Just Dance by Lady Gaga, and less recent ones like One Hand in my
Pocket by Alanis Morissette.
Their Second set mixed old and new again, starting with Katy Perry I
Kissed a Girl and Poker Face by Lady Gaga, and ending with Play That
Funky Music by Wild Cherry and Love Shack by the B52s. Somewhere in the middle of all these were great covers of Teenage Dirtbag by Wheatus and Crazy by Gnarls Barkley.
They are an absolutely brilliant band - go and see them soon! I hope to
